The City of Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the United States. As with most Southwest cities, the City of Phoenix continues to be an attractive place to live and work. The Census Bureau estimates that more than 1.6 million people reside in the city as of July 2016. The City of Phoenix is divided into 15 urban villages, each unique in history, cultural background and diversity.  These communities can broadly be divided into three major areas, South, Central and North Phoenix.
